Softball Recap: Globe Takes a Loss

Globe lost against Seton Catholic back in March of 2017, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Globe fell 8-4 to Seton Catholic.

Erlynda Horta and Zoey Tulk did some serious damage despite the final result: Horta scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Tulk scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-3. With that strong performance, Tulk is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game.

Globe dropped their record down to 6-8 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Seton Catholic, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Globe will challenge Apache Junction at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Seton Catholic, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Northwest Christian at 6:30 p.m. Seton Catholic's pitchers better be ready for this one: Northwest Christian has averaged an impressive 12.3 runs per game this season.
