Plainville hadn't done well against Trego recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Cardinals came out on top against the Golden Eagles by a score of 2-0. This was a revenge game for the Cardinals: when they faced off against the Golden Eagles back in September, they had to take a 2-1 defeat.

The win didn't come easy: Trego scored at least 21 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-21.

Plainville's victory bumped their record up to 8-17. As for Trego, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season.

Coincidentally, Plainville and Trego will both be playing Ellis the next time they take the court. The Cardinals will head out to face the Railroaders at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Golden Eagles will play them later in the day, at 6:30 p.m.
