Gruver hadn't done well against Sanford-Fritch recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Greyhounds were the clear victors by an 18-8 margin over the Eagles. Considering the Greyhounds have won seven matches by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Gruver has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.2 runs over those games. As for Sanford-Fritch, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.

Gruver wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 14-7 loss against West Texas on the 22nd. As for Sanford-Fritch, they have also already played their next match, an 8-3 defeat against Clarendon on the 24th.
