Baseball Recap: Windermere Prep Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cornerstone Charter Academy last Wednesday, Windermere Prep came back down to earth. The Windermere Prep Lakers took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lake Buena Vista Vipers on Thursday.

Joshua Goldberg was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Lucas Montalvo, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases.

Windermere Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Lake Buena Vista, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season.

The future could be bright for both Windermere Prep and Lake Buena Vista: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Windermere Prep will look to extend Oak Ridge's five-game losing streak when they meet at 4:00 p.m. on March 25th. Similarly, Lake Buena Vista will try to hand Cornerstone Charter Academy their ninth-straight loss when the two meet at 6:30 p.m. on March 25th.
