Baseball Recap: Madonna's Run of Nine Straight Wins Now Over

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Madonna couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the East Hardy Cougars on Saturday. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Blue Dons, who until this match were averaging 2.34 runs allowed.

Mathew Geer led a balanced group of hitters, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Koleton Grishkevich, who went 3-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
