Basketball Recap: Riley Gallagher's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lovett over KIPP Atlanta Collegiate

Lovett was the 54-36 winner over KIPP Atlanta Collegiate when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Lovett Lions lost 60-37 to the KIPP Atlanta Collegiate Warriors on Friday. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Riley Gallagher, who posted 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddy Eford, who earned 11 points.

Lovett's loss dropped their record down to 15-9. As for KIPP Atlanta Collegiate, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season.

Lovett wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 44-35 defeat against Carver on the 13th. As for KIPP Atlanta Collegiate, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 51-41 loss against Therrell on the 11th.
