Logan Minamyer made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Hilliard Bradley is 2-1 when Minamyer allows three or fewer hits, but 10-12 otherwise. Minamyer was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run.
Minamyer wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Bryan Nashalsky, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Lincoln duked it out with St. Charles on Thursday. The Lions blew past the Cardinals 11-3. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Lions considering their one-run performance the contest before.
Isaiah Sweigard tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024.
On the hitting side, Lincoln got a massive performance out of Landon George, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three hits gave George a new career-high. Aidan Piatt was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Lincoln's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-14. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Hilliard Bradley, their record is now 12-13.
Hilliard Bradley beat Lincoln 8-5 in their previous meeting on Saturday. Will the Jaguars repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
