Roy was the 2-1 winner over Woods Cross when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Woods Cross who was credited with the victory on Thursday. Woods Cross got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Roy Royals' two. Roy's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Roy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Woods Cross, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.
