Volleyball Recap: Sky View Takes a Loss

After flying high against Tooele last Tuesday, Sky View came back down to earth. The Bobcats came up short against the Green Canyon Wolves on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Bobcats in their meetings with the Wolves: they've now lost six in a row.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-11, 25-15.

Sophia Doxey paced Sky View's offense, picking up seven kills. Doxey got some help from Reese Seeley and her 20 assists.

Green Canyon had a senior duo take command as Jaylee Blotter had 15 digs and two assists and Elly Giordano had 17 assists and six digs. Giordano is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last five games she's played. Audrey White also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Sky View's defeat dropped their record down to 14-12. As for Green Canyon, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-6.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Sky View will challenge rival Bear River at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Green Canyon is set to face off against their familiar foe Ridgeline at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
