Baseball Recap: Taylor Takes a Loss

Taylor managed to slip by Franklin the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Taylor Ducks came up short against the Franklin Lions on Saturday, falling 15-2. The Ducks' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Mario Aguero made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Taylor's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6-1. As for Franklin, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Coming up, Taylor will square off against Lampasas at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lampasas' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Taylor's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Franklin, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Franklin Lions take on Thrall Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
