Recap: North Callaway Thunderbirds vs. Bowling Green Bobcats
The North Callaway Thunderbirds managed to keep up with the Bowling Green Bobcats until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. North Callaway ended up on the wrong side of a tough 75-50 walloping at the hands of Bowling Green. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat North Callaway has suffered since December 5, 2023.
North Callaway lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Sam Pezold, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Pezold is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Isiah Craighead, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
North Callaway are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13. As for Bowling Green, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.
North Callaway will square off against Silex at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Silex is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Bowling Green, they will face off against Van-Far at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Van-Far presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Bowling Green in Missouri (Van-Far is ranked 210th, while Bowling Green is ranked 447th).
