Baseball Recap: Pensacola Catholic Comes Up Short

Pensacola Catholic was the 12-2 winner over Pace when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Pensacola Catholic Crusaders lost 15-4 to the Pace Patriots on Thursday. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Colton Guillot was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three). Another player making a difference was Jalen Moton, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Pensacola Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Pace, their victory was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Coming up, Pensacola Catholic will welcome Crestview at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pace, they will head out to square off against Milton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Milton will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Pace surely won't give up without a fight.
