Baseball Recap: Oxford Prep Victorious

Oxford Prep proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 11) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Franklin Academy Patriots 5-3. The victory continues a trend for the Griffins in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won six in a row.

The team relied heavily on Hunter Woodlief, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gage Hobgood, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.

Oxford Prep's record is now 2-0. As for Franklin Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
