Football Recap: Clemente Comes Up Short

Clemente was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 14-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Schurz Bulldogs. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

The critical scores for Schurz came from Kamarion Fagairo and Mitchel Quiles.

Clemente's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Schurz, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Clemente will take on rival UIC College Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Schurz is set to square off against their familiar foe ITW David Speer Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
