Volleyball Recap: Springfield Wins Going Away Against Mckinley + How To Watch

Springfield's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They put the hurt on the McKinley Trojans with a sharp 3-0 win. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Springfield not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept McKinley between 13 and 16 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-16, 25-13.

Emily Conner was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had eight digs and seven aces. Those seven aces gave her a new career-high.

Conner wasn't the only good servers: Springfield was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 27 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in ten consecutive contests.

Springfield's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for McKinley, they dropped their record down to 1-15 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home.

Springfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Mineral Ridge on the 30th. As for McKinley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against East Palestine on the 1st.
