Soccer Game Preview: St. Mary's vs. Thunderbird

St. Mary is 0-6 against Thunderbird since January of 2017 but things could change on Monday. The St. Mary's Knights will welcome the Thunderbird Titans at 6:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Friday, St. Mary's didn't have quite enough to beat Marcos de Niza and fell 2-1. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their goal came courtesy of Sebastian Lopez, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in December of 2024, Thunderbird was forced to settle for a draw on Friday. Neither they nor Coconino could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

With that draw, Thunderbird's record moves to 1-4-2. As for St. Mary's, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4-1.
