Soccer Game Preview: Liberty vs. Cibola

The Liberty Lions are taking a road trip to square off against the Cibola Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Liberty will head out to face Cibola after giving up their first home loss of the season two weeks ago. Liberty fell just short of Saguaro by a score of 3-2. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Cibola was forced to settle for a draw. They and Central finished up their game with a 1-1 draw on Wednesday.

Cibola's draw gives them a new season record of 7-3-1. As for Liberty, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Liberty took their win against Cibola in their previous matchup back in December of 2021 by a conclusive 6-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Liberty since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
