Softball Game Preview: Mission Valley Vikings vs. Marais des Cygnes Valley Trojans

The Mission Valley Vikings will face off against the Marais des Cygnes Valley Trojans at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

As a matter of fact, Mission Valley put up the most runs they have all season on Thursday. They blew past Lyndon 18-2. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Marais des Cygnes Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Mission Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Marais des Cygnes Valley's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Mission Valley has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.7 hits per game. It's a different story for Marais des Cygnes Valley, though, as they've been averaging 9.2 hits.
