Soccer Game Preview: Lincoln Park vs. Whitney Young

The Lincoln Park Lions will take on the Whitney Young Dolphins at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Lincoln Park's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past Juarez 4-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for Lincoln Park.

Meanwhile, Whitney Young won against Westinghouse on Monday with two goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Wednesday. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Dolphins who were credited with the victory. Whitney Young got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to Roosevelt's two.

Curtis Jackson and Evan Lee scored both of the Dolphins' goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Lincoln Park's win bumped their record up to 10-6-5. As for Whitney Young, their victory bumped their record up to 8-12-2.

Lincoln Park might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Whitney Young in their previous matchup back in September of 2023. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
