Basketball Recap: Rutland Comes Up Short

Rutland lost against Callaway two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rutland Hurricanes fell 52-39 to the Callaway Cavaliers.

Despite the loss, Rutland still got an impressive performance from Keadon Knight, who posted 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Richard Fisher, who scored nine points.

Callaway found their leader in sophomore Kaiden James, who earned ten points and five steals. Aj Williams was another key player, putting up 12 points and six rebounds.

Rutland's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Callaway, their victory bumped their record up to 4-13.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Westside the next time they take the court. Callaway will host Westside at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Rutland will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
