Baseball Recap: Combs Comes Up Short

Combs lost against Eastmark back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Coyotes came up short against the Firebirds, falling 9-3. The Coyotes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Combs saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Merrick Bowles, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Emilio Quintana also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Combs' record now sits at 4-13-1. As for Eastmark, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-12 record.

While Combs had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
