Baseball Game Preview: Cassopolis Rangers vs. Decatur Raiders

Cassopolis hasn't had much luck against Decatur recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Rangers will face off against the Raiders at 4:30 p.m. Cassopolis has given up an average of 8 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Cassopolis came up short against White Pigeon on Monday, falling 14-6. The Rangers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Decatur has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 4.07 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They lost 13-7 to Olivet. The Raiders' defeat signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Decatur's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Cassopolis, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Cassopolis couldn't quite get it done against Decatur in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 as they fell 4-1. Can the Rangers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
