Soccer Game Preview: Lufkin vs. Non Varsity Opponent

The Lufkin Panthers will face off against Non Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lufkin's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

While Lufkin's win against Huntsville wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Panthers never let the Hornets get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Friday. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Lufkin were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Non Varsity Opponent has been on a difficult stretch since their win on December 12. They came up short against Mission on Friday, falling 5-1.

Lufkin's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3-2. As for Non Varsity Opponent, their loss dropped their record down to 1-12-5.
