West Washington hasn't had much luck against South Central recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Senators will challenge the Rebels at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (West Washington has three straight victories, South Central has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
West Washington's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over Henryville. The result was nothing new for the Senators, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Hayden Morrow was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

West Washington always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Tell City hit South Central with a four-run third inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Rebels came up short against the Marksmen, falling 7-1.
South Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jarrett Ferree, who went 1-for-3 with one double.
West Washington's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for South Central, their loss dropped their record down to 7-13.
South Central's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: West Washington has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .474. It's a different story for South Central, though, as they've only averaged .345. Will they be able to contain West Washington's hitters?
West Washington couldn't quite get it done against South Central in their previous matchup back in April of 2018 as they fell 7-4. Can the Senators avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
