Roosevelt had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Kelly Trojans.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Roosevelt got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 17-25, 25-16.

Roosevelt's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Kelly, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roosevelt will take on Tilden at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Kelly, they will square off against Juarez at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
