Baseball Game Preview: Gardendale Rockets vs. Pinson Valley Indians

For the second straight game, Gardendale will face off against Pinson Valley. The Rockets will challenge the Indians at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Gardendale took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Pinson Valley 11-1. Considering the Rockets have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Pinson Valley's part, Jaylon Sharpe made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Sharpe is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last 13 games he's played.

Gardendale is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-9-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Pinson Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-19.
