Football Recap: Pioneer Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Pioneer extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 2-5. They lost to the Rowland Raiders on the road by a 36-21 margin. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Titans of the 32-21 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

As for Rowland, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.1 points on average this season.

CJ Carrillo produced another solid performance rushing for 127 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, while also picking up 62 receiving yards and one TD. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played. Damien Arrieta did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 81 receiving yards.

Pioneer and Rowland will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Titans are set to square off against their familiar foe Glenn at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Rowland will face off against rival Chaffey at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
