Basketball Recap: Walnut Grove Skates Past Everton with Ease

There's no place like home for Walnut Grove, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They breezed by the Everton Tigers to the tune of 65-34 on Friday. Walnut Grove has seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Everton, too.

Despite the loss, Everton had strong showings from Joshua Daniels, who posted 20 points along with eight rebounds and five steals, and Noah Morris, who scored four points and 13 boards. That was a full 58.8% of Everton's points, marking the 14th time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points.

Walnut Grove has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Everton, their defeat was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-16.

Walnut Grove has already played their next game, a 70-52 victory against Macks Creek on the 25th. As for Everton, they will take on Humansville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Humansville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
