Soccer Game Preview: Polytechnic vs. Trimble Tech

The Polytechnic Parrots will venture away from home to face off against the Trimble Tech Bulldogs at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Polytechnic's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Polytechnic lost 6-1 to South Hills on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Polytechnic can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 614th, while South Hills are ranked 135th).

Meanwhile, while the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was Trimble Tech who was credited with the win on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for they.

Jonathan Compian and Salud Hernandez scored both of Trimble Tech's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 15 goals.

Polytechnic's loss dropped their record down to 6-11-1. As for Trimble Tech, their victory bumped their record up to 15-5.
