Coalinga had won three straight  games  and  Tyson Alvarado did his part to make it four on Friday. The Horned Toads took their  game  with ease, bagging  a  55-0 victory over the Tranquillity Tigers thanks in part to  Alvarado, who rushed for 145 yards and three  scores. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up  a  sack and made two total tackles (2.0 for loss).
 On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Coalinga's defense and their five sacks. Leading the way was  Frank Chavez with  two. Coalinga received some extra help from  Korvallis White, whose fumble return for a touchdown  made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Coalinga's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Tranquillity,  they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-8.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Coalinga is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Dos Palos  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. That  matchup will pit two of the most dominant  backs against one another:  Alvarado and  Andre Flores. Meanwhile, Tranquillity will  challenge  rival Avenal  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday.
