Volleyball Recap: Weslaco East Comes Up Short

Weslaco East extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to four on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-3. They came up short against the Pace Vikings, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

As for Pace, their win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 22, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

Pace found their leader in freshman Melody Valerio, who had 11 digs.

Coming up, Weslaco East will take on Economedes in a tournament on Friday. As for Pace, they will challenge IDEA Riverview at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.
