Baseball Recap: Mishawaka Marian Takes a Loss

Elkhart hit Mishawaka Marian with a seven-run seventh inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Knights came up short against the Lions, falling 12-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-0 on Thursday.

Mishawaka Marian has also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. As for Elkhart, their victory bumped their record up to 13-9.

The Knights are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Elkhart, they will face off against South Bend Adams at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight.
