After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Riverside, Simmons was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Clarksdale Wildcats with a sharp 13-4 victory. The Blue Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by nine runs or more this season.

Simmons' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.0 runs over those games. As for Clarksdale, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.

Simmons will be playing in front of their home fans against North Side at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Clarksdale, their road trip will continue as they head out to face Riverside at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
