Basketball Recap: Patrick Henry Academy Find Success

It may have taken double overtime to finish the job, but Patrick Henry Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They secured a 66-61 W over the Andrew Jackson Academy Warriors. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

It was another big night for Daivon Glover, who shot 67% from the field to rack up 21 points in addition to six assists and three steals. His afternoon made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Tray Adkins was another key player, dropping a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Patrick Henry Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Andrew Jackson Academy only posted four.

Despite the loss, Andrew Jackson Academy still got an impressive performance from Elizuh Davis, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and 16 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Oliver Barnes, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 16 boards.

Patrick Henry Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Andrew Jackson Academy, they dropped their record down to 3-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coming up, Patrick Henry Academy will take on Calhoun Academy in a tournament on the 22nd. As for Andrew Jackson Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against Colleton Prep Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
