Basketball Recap: BCLUW Takes a Loss

BCLUW has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 55-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Hardin Tigers on Tuesday. The Comets were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

South Hardin had a senior duo take command as Alli Sheldahl went 9-for-20 en route to 20 points and three blocks and Alyssa Kix posted ten points and six steals. Sheldahl is becoming a predictor of South Hardin's success: when she posts at least three blocks the team is undefeated (and 6-13 when she doesn't). Another player making a difference was Grace Eller, who scored seven points and three blocks.

BCLUW's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for South Hardin, their victory bumped their record up to 9-13.

BCLUW has already played their next match (against GMG), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for South Hardin, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Tigers duke it out with the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on February 18th.
