Softball Recap: Issaquah Wins High-Profile Matchup Against Glacier Peak

Issaquah faced Glacier Peak in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Eagles narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Grizzlies 8-7. The victory was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won four matches in a row.

Giorgia Graham (2027) and Riley Baumann (2026) did most of the damage at the plate: Graham (2027) went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Baumann (2026) went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Baumann (2026) has posted since back in April. Sadie Huryn (2025) was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Issaquah kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive contests.

Issaquah pushed their record up to 20-3 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Glacier Peak, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 14-6 record.

As of now, neither Issaquah nor the Grizzlies have any future games scheduled.
