Softball Game Preview: Greece Storm Titans vs. Fairport Red Raiders

The Greece Storm Titans are taking a road trip to take on the Fairport Red Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.

Greece Storm can't be too happy about their upcoming road match considering what happened when they opened their season away from home two weeks ago. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rush-Henrietta.

Meanwhile, Fairport had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They skirted past Brighton 8-6.

The team relied heavily on Julia Poligone, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Allison Runke also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Greece Storm suffered a grim 16-2 defeat to Fairport in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
