Volleyball Game Preview: O'Connor Eagles vs. Maryvale Panthers

The O'Connor Eagles will face off against the Maryvale Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Maryvale took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on O'Connor, who comes in off a win.

O'Connor took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Boulder Creek 3-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: O'Connor took every set by at least 16 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-6, 25-5.

Meanwhile, Maryvale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Cesar Chavez, falling 3-0.

O'Connor's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4. As for Maryvale, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Everything went O'Connor's way against Maryvale in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as O'Connor made off with a 3-0 win. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
