Independence had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.3 goals) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They never let Mt. Vernon get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. Considering Independence has won 13 matches by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Independence's win was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-2-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those ten games. As for Mt.
