Football Recap: Union Cougars vs. Mountain View Bruins
Union lost against Mountain View back in August of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cougars and the Bruins were almost perfectly matched up, but the Cougars suffered a 21-20 loss. The loss put an end to the Cougars' undefeated start to the season.
Despite the defeat, Union had strong showings from Jd Mojado, who rushed for 79 yards and one score, and Dylan Murphy-Watahomigie, who threw for 81 yards and one touchdown.
Mountain View's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tate Johnson led the charge by throwing for 193 yards and a pair of TDs on only 15 passes, while also rushing for 52 yards on only seven carries.
