Softball Recap: Leipsic Comes Up Short

Leipsic lost against Riverdale back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Vikings took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons.

Leipsic saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jadyn Cupp, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple. Sierra Steingass was another, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Leipsic now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Riverdale, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Leipsic will be playing at home against Kalida at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for Riverdale, they are taking a road trip to take on Allen East at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
