It's playoff time, and Bishop McNamara had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Manteno Panthers by a score of 5-1 on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Fightin' Irish sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Jacob Lotz was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Bishop McNamara's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 27-7. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Manteno, they moved to 21-8 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Bishop McNamara nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
