Baseball Recap: Boulder Triumphs

While Boulder's win against Northglenn wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Panthers won by a run and slipped past the Norsemen 8-7. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Norsemen: they've now won five in a row.

Finn Torvik was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three doubles. He also scored two runs, which is notable because Boulder is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 5-9 otherwise. Gavin Nguyen was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Boulder's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Northglenn, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-13.

Coming up, Boulder will face off against Prairie View at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Thunderhawks will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Northglenn, they will host Hinkley at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
