Boyertown is 8-2 against Phoenixville since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Bears will head out to challenge the Phantoms at 4:00 p.m. Boyertown will be strutting in after a win while Phoenixville will be coming in after a loss.

Boyertown took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They came out on top against Pottsgrove by a score of 7-4.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Phoenixville was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They fell just short of Upper Merion Area by a score of 2-1.

Phoenixville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Geiger, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Boyertown is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Phoenixville, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Boyertown came out on top in a nail-biter against Phoenixville in their previous matchup back in March, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
