Football Recap: St. Patrick's Irish vs. Alma Cardinals
St. Patrick barely beat Alma the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Irish simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Cardinals 44-8. The Irish might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 36 points or more this season.
Mason Giebler had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 68 yards and two touchdowns. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: St. Patrick's was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 340 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
St. Patrick's didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Breckyn Collins and Giebler.
Alma's loss came despite strong showings from Isaiah Neal and Tucker Biskup. Neal rushed for 57 yards and one TD on only six carries, while Biskup picked up 58 receiving yards.
