Softball Recap: Northwest Christian Finds Home Field Redemption Against Gilbert Christian

There's no place like home for Northwest Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Everything went their way against the Gilbert Christian Knights on Monday as Northwest Christian made off with a 15-0 victory. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Ella Reuter was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. She also put up a triple, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kinsey Unger, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-4.

Reuter wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Northwest Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gilbert Christian only managed four hits.

Northwest Christian's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Gilbert Christian, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Northwest Christian wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 14-3 defeat against Bourgade Catholic on the 25th. As for Gilbert Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-0 win against Highland Prep West on the 25th.
