Volleyball Recap: Falls Lake Has No Trouble Against Excelsior Classical Academy + How To Watch

The Falls Lake Firebirds got the win against the Excelsior Classical Academy Flying Lions on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Firebirds.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Falls Lake took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-12, 25-8.

Falls Lake can attribute much of their success to Maggie Penn, who had 17 digs and five assists. Penn is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Falls Lake was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 22 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Excelsior Classical Academy only served one ace.

Falls Lake's record is now 8-2. As for Excelsior Classical Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Falls Lake has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Roxboro Community on the 27th. Excelsior Classical Academy has also already played their next contest (against Triangle Math & Science), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
