Baseball Recap: Davidson Academy Has No Trouble Against Pearl-Cohn

Davidson Academy never let their opponents score on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Pearl-Cohn Firebirds as the Davidson Academy Bears made off with a 19-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bears.

Boston Graham made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.

In other pitching news, Wes Harper looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Braxton Johnson, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1. Ean McCord was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.

Davidson Academy's record is now 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Davidson Academy is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Lebanon at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pearl-Cohn, they will head out to face off against Cane Ridge at 10:00 a.m. on Monday.
