Softball Recap: Grayville Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Grayville's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Norris City-Omaha-Enfield Fighting Cardinals on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Bison's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Maci McClusky spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on seven hits.

On the hitting side, Grayville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drayton Mosberger, who went 1-for-3 with one triple.

Grayville's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Norris City-Omaha-Enfield, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6.

Grayville didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 14-4 win against North Clay/Clay City on the 15th. As for Norris City-Omaha-Enfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 12-1 victory against Webber on the 15th.
