Basketball Recap: School for Entrepreneurship & Technology Comes Up Short

School for Entrepreneurship & Technology lost against San Diego Academy back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The School for Entrepreneurship & Technology Lions took a 50-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the San Diego Academy Cavaliers.

Despite the loss, School for Entrepreneurship & Technology saw an underclassman step up: freshman Nathan Toon posted 17 points. The matchup was Toon's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Henry Kane, who had six points.

San Diego Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Story Avitia led the charge by dropping a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds. Avitia has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 19 times he's played. Rudy Nieto was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

School for Entrepreneurship & Technology's defeat was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-10. As for San Diego Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

School for Entrepreneurship & Technology has already played their next game, a 41-38 win against Health Sciences on the 30th. As for San Diego Academy, they will challenge Bostonia Global at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Bostonia Global has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with four straight losses, while San Diego Academy will come in with four straight victories.
